The 12th of April proved a very successful day for The Works. To support our fantastic charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care, we were part of the one and only collection day at Manchester Piccadilly Station.

The grand amount of £647 was made from pestering the locals and tourists with silly hats on and showing off our penny filled buckets. The amount collected will fund more than four full nights of one to one bedside nursing care to a terminally ill patient, allowing patients to spend the final moments of their lives in the comfort of their homes with loved ones.

With only one opportunity to collect at the station each year, this is the one chance Marie Curie can reach out to some of the supporters of charity who are situated in the suburbs in Manchester. As our designated charity, we tried our hardest to squeeze as much change out of the Manchester commuters as we could!

With many more fundraising events throughout the year, The Works will do all we can promote and raise funds for the fantastic Marie Curie cause.
