We know we’ve got some of the best people in the Industry working for us here at The Works, but it’s still nice to be told it by our customers.

As a nation, we’re not terribly good at feedback, preferring to nod a polite “yes thanks” when the waitress asks “is everything ok” even if the food is cold and the drinks haven’t arrived.  Feedback is terribly important for any business, whether it’s good or bad.  Knowing whether you’re doing a good job or not is crucial to your success, and acting upon feedback is as important as going in search of it in the first place.

So this recent email (see below) from our client Towergate brought a huge smile to our faces (as well as making Daniel blush just a tiny  bit).  Not only did Daniel win the office prize last week, he got to wear the coveted crown of glory.

As incentive schemes go we admit it’s a little flawed, foreign travel and Tiffany jewellery have often been put forward as replacements, but Daniel is not above a celebratory accessory and wore it well.

So whether it’s a simple “Employee of the Month” sign on the wall or an ad hoc bottle of plonk out of petty cash, celebrate your staff’s achievements as we do, and give credit where credit’s due!
